Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy has many advantages such as non-contact, unrestricted sample morphology, low requirement of sample pretreatment, and the diversity of analysis elements. Handheld LIBS allows to analyze 30-40 kinds of elements, detect carbon elements, and cover more than ten kinds of alloy materials. It is used in aerospace, special inspection, metallurgy, large equipment manufacturing, petrochemical, electric power, metal recycling and other fields.
